Mary Jo is a graduate of Indiana University with two bachelor's degrees in Business Management and Secondary Education with a major in English and a minor in History.
She has had a long and successful career in the writing industry. Mary Jo's work has appeared in Today's Woman, Kentucky Monthly, Business First, The Courier-Journal, Horizons, PREP, Kentucky Homes and Gardens, and many other magazines and newspapers. She is also the restaurant reviewer for The Evening News in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Mary Jo does freelance editing for several design firms and individuals. When time allows, she speaks to historical organizations, writing conferences, and schools about the lesser-known women in history and various writing topics.
Mary Jo shares her southern Indiana home with Scarlett, her college-age daughter, and five loveable, but spoiled cats. Her interests include reading, animals, protecting the environment, history, art shows, genealogy, collecting postcards and fairy figurines, and listening to country music star Toby Keith. She is also a member of the Lexington, Kentucky Ghost Chasers International, Inc., the Clark County Humane Society and various historical organizations and writers' groups.
